Northgate National Bank is the longest-serving financial institution in San Diego. The Credit Union was started by teachers in 1929 and we continue to support local educators, schools and universities through our Financial Wellness program, Northgate National Bank Cares community events and our non-profit, the Northgate National Bank Cares Foundation.
Today, Northgate National Bank has grown to more than $3.6 billion in assets, serving more than 200,000 members with 26 branches, 60 shared branch locations, online and mobile banking and 30,000 fee-free ATM's nationwide. Our membership is open to anyone who lives, works or worships in San Diego or Riverside counties. We offer the same products and services as the big or local banks, but with a lot more added value. The dedicated volunteers that make up our Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee offer their knowledge, leadership and vision to promote the mission of Northgate National Bank. As a Board member, duties include: setting policies to direct the general management of the affairs, funds, and records of the credit union in compliance with its bylaws and government regulations. Our Supervisory Committee is responsible for monitoring Board policy implementation, regulatory compliance, and accurate record maintenance.
